  4. one more thought - was wondering the interpretations of pictures and images can have more variants than the interpretations of texts... - As the above comment of Arvind found loneliness in them , I felt a nice calm feeling of Solitude :)

  5. well, i guess its just a way of seeing. it may mean different things to different people. For me, this was a strange new place. new people. cold (ironically). I shot this soon after a not so great experience from my recent past. and of course, i had an inability to talk or describe. So i just took up my camera and shot what i felt like. shot what I saw. Its strange, but true, that you tend to notice different things during ur diff moods.

anyways, I definitely am happy that atleast part of the aloofness does seem to get through to the viewer. Thoughts?

  10. Nice how there's a whole haunted 'stay away from here' mood in the images. But I think the cat and dog image doesn't gel with the collection...

  13. Hi Jyothi,

I was casually browsing through an old Kanyaka magazine and happened to chance by your interview. Thought I'd look you up online and here you are :)

What happened with the documentary on middle class women in Bangalore that you were working on? Complete yet? I would like to read/watch that.

Anyway, all the best with your work. Really enjoyed the photographs.

  16. I went through most of the snaps put on the blog, but don't know my eyes got stuck here.
Perhaps, because,my unconscious brain has kept similar images from my past..my childhood..which was spent so lonely..!

PS:I'm so used to calmness. It comforts me.
