The Boy at the Fair
I suppose it's one of those things that leaves you ruffled when you think about it.. I was quite surprised to see the number of children on the streets or working in restaurants, shops etc in Delhi as compared to that seen in South India.
I met this boy at the fair that was running adjacent to the Ramleela. To me, it seemed almost ironic that this boy was pushing and tugging at the carousel in an effort to attract other children to his ride. The man shouting at him from a distance in the crowd made sure that the merry-go-round went round and round.. hardly ever slowing down..
The boy, in all earnestness stood still for a brief moment, before breaking into a run again when the shouting resumed.
I'd like to think that he was glad to be photographed.

Fantastic shot! It's like he's suspended in time - I love the effect you've captured here.
