Kluney Manor
I've always thought the heritage hotels in Ooty were almost surreal. One of my favorite haunts was Kluney Manor, perched on a hill top overlooking the tiny town. I've never really stayed at the hotel (although i would have loved to), but the manager has always been gracious enough to let me shoot in the premises. These images were shot on a full moon day with a long exposure (of 30secs).
More images of the manor to come...

ReplyDeleteAh, Raj days. Pity Ooty has gone to the dogs in many respects but it still has some vestiges of heritage and the surrounding countryside is lovely.

@ Jeff
ReplyDeleteYou are quite right! Moonlight photography does give you some strange effects..perhaps not quite what one would expect to see. I was quite surprised with the results myself when i first saw it:)
Congratulations, great exposures and atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that second picture - the composition, the colours and the contrast between the lamp post and the dark looming sky. I'm hoping I'll be able to find time for Ooty on my upcoming visit to Bangalore:)
ReplyDeletethe second one is fantastic!
